Welcome to Long Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Charlotte, NC.  We serve a approximate population of 6,418 with 10.34 square miles in our first due within unincorporated areas of northern Mecklenburg County, as well as areas of South West Huntersville.  We respond with Gilead Fire and Rescue, Huntersville Fire Dept., North Meck Rescue, Cooks Fire and Rescue, and the Charlotte Fire Dept. We provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. We utilize both paid and volunteer staffing. All paid members must also serve as volunteers.
