The Long Creek Fire Department receives its funding from a specific fire tax that is generated through Mecklenburg County. This particular tax is levied on those residents who receive emergency services from the Long Creek Fire Department, that reside outside of the Charlotte city limits.
The Long Creek response area encompasses a 10.34 square mile area of unincorporated areas in northern Mecklenburg County with a population density of approximately 10,000. Some of those areas include Sunset Road, Oakdale Road, Miranda Road, Beatties Ford Road, Capps Hill Mine Road, Peachtree Road, Simpson Road, Statesville Road and Mount Holly Huntersville Road just to name a few.
Please understand that we do not solicit donations over the phone nor do we solicit door-to-door. We also do not receive any funding from the Charlotte Firefighters Association.
The Long Creek organization is classified as a non-profit organization and donations to the department may qualify you for a tax deduction (check with your tax agent). If you would like to voluntarily make a donation to the Long Creek Fire Department you may contact the fire station at 704-394-1556 or mail your donation to:
